Role — Creative Director
As part of Love, Chuck—our ongoing global platform that celebrates personal expression and invites fans and cultural catalysts to share their love for Chucks—we created a playful dating show that brings Converse’s spirit to life through style, humor, and unexpected connections. Hosted by British comedian and internet icon Amelia Dimoldenberg, the series taps into her signature cheeky charm and flirty interview style, made famous by her hit YouTube series Chicken Shop Date. Beloved for her wit and offbeat approach to romance, Amelia is the perfect match for this quirky format that puts Converse front and center.

In each episode, one contestant searches for love by selecting a match based solely on the suitors’ Converse sneakers—hidden from the ankles up. From “What’s your shoe size?” to increasingly existential (and absurd) questions, suitors are eliminated one by one until a final match is made. The winner scores a Converse-sponsored second date. Episode 1 features a female contestant choosing among three male suitors; Episode 2 celebrates Pride with a female contestant and three female/non-binary suitors. Through this series, we keep Love, Chuck in great company—spotlighting real people, real style, and real chemistry, all starting from the ground up.

CREATIVE APPROACH

Romantic and whimsical, blending warm pinks and reds with soft yellows and blues. Texture and detail came through layered curtains, patterned rugs, and plush accent chairs, creating a cozy, visually rich environment. The creative approach was to combine interview-style dialogue with comedic zooms, dynamic cuts, and playful on-screen text to enhance the humor and keep the pacing sharp and entertaining.

THE SEGMENTS

This three-part dating show format puts Chucks—and their wearers—at the center of the action through playful, style-driven challenges. In Chuck Check, suitors answer cheeky icebreakers while the contestant raises a red or green Chuck to signal dealbreakers or green flags. Sock Secrets pushes things further as each suitor chooses to reveal their sock game or answer a bold, personal question. In Make Moves, we zoom in on the footwork as contestants show off their signature dance moves, with the bachelorette ranking each one. Throughout, Amelia adds her signature humor, guiding the contestant through each hilarious twist.
